About Vikram Singh Puar

Vikram Singh Puar DewasVikram Singh Rao II Puar is the 10th descendant of Maratha Rajput Puar dynasty of Dewas State (Senior). Born 3 May 1989 in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, he is the son of 9th Maharaja of Dewas Senior, His Highness Maharaja Tukoji Rao IV Puar and Maharani Gayatri Raje Puar.
Vikram Singh Puar completed his schooling from The Daly College, Indore. He is also an alumnus of London School of Economics and Social Sciences, from where he earned his Master’s degree in Political Science.
After the death of his father Maharaja Tukoji Rao Puar, Vikram Singh Rao Puar was crowned the 10th Maharaja of Dewas Senior in a private ceremony held at Anand Bhawan Palace, Dewas.
Both his parents have been dedicated towards the welfare of the janta of Dewas. The small town of Dewas witnessed great progress during the lifetime of Late Maharaja Tukoji Rao Puar, who administered several development projects like construction of Shipra Dam Project and Dewas Bypass road. Ropeway to Maa Chamunda Devi Temple and Maa Tulja Bhawani Temple, started under the patronage of Late Maharaja Tukoji Rao Puar, boosted the tourism in Tekri region manifold.
Following the footsteps of his late father and mother Rajmata Gayatri Raje Puar, Vikram Singh Rao Puar is also connected with people at the grass root level. A down to earth man, Vikram Singh Rao Puar is often seen with the people of Dewas, addressing their grievances. He takes keen interest newly sanctioned projects for the development of Dewas as well as the projects that were completed under the aegis of his father.
